Contribution rules

NOTE: If you are retired, please enter "N/A" under Employer and "Retired" under Occupation; if you are a homemaker, please enter "N/A" under Employer and "Homemaker" under Occupation; if self-employed, please enter the name of the business or your first and last name under Employer and describe your line of work under Occupation. The Oakland Campaign Reform Act limits campaign contributions by all persons (OMC §§ 3.12.050 and 3.12.060) and prohibits contributions during specified time periods from contractors doing business with the City of Oakland, the Oakland Redevelopment Agency or the Oakland Unified School District (OMC § 3.12.140, paragraphs A., B., and C.). Contribution limits: $1,600 for committee $800 for individuals

Desley has agreed to adopt expenditure ceilings set by the Public Ethics Commission. As an individual, you can make a donation as high as $800. If you are making a donation for a broad based political committee, your donation can be $1,600.
